1. Aims to improve the welfare of retired educators and
2. Protecting the retirement system.

The meetings of the Henderson County Retired Teachers Association are held four times a year on the first Friday of September, December, March, and June. The meetings are held at the Henderson County Professional Development Center on the corner of Sixth and Elm next to the Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center.
