The HCRTA officers have made the decision to cancel meetings until September 2021. At this time we do plan a Zoom meeting in June for the installation of officers. We will update the information as it gets closer to time.

We’re sure that all of you are sick of Joe Namath’s commercials and phone calls about Medicare supplements so we wanted to remind you that if you are an over 65 retired teacher and you sign up for one of these supplements you will lose your Medicare through teacher retirement and not be able to get it reinstated. Ignore any calls that you get about supplements.

The HCRTA will not meet on December 4th due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

There is a scammer trying to get retired teachers the sign up for Medicare supplements. Do NOT sign up for anything. You can lose your United Health Care Medicare if you sign up for a supplement, even if it’s legitimate. If someone calls about supplements, just hang up.
