Our March meeting is 3/1/19 at 10:00a.m. at the Professional Development Center and we will be having special guests. Gubernatorial candidate, Andy Beshear, will be stopping by to let us know about his candidacy. He has been very supportive of retired teachers and I’m sure you’ll want to hear what he has to say. Also, we will be hearing an update from HCS Board of Education staff about the sesquicentennial celebration of public education in Henderson and the local winner of the AARP Grandparent Essay Contest will be announced.

Please bring personal hygiene items for the Father Bradley Women’s Shelter.

Lunch will be catered by Thomason’s BBQ and we will need a count for lunch by Feb. 26th. Contact Barbara Durham at badurham@twc.com to let her know that you will be attending.

The Henderson County Retired Teachers Association will meet on December 7th at the Professional Development Center at 10:00a.m. Please bring donations of food for Christian Community Outreach. Lunch will be fried chicken by Grandy’s and desserts by Dora. Have lunch reservations in to badurham@twc.com by December 3rd.

The next meeting of the HCRTA will be Friday, September 7th, at 10:00a.m. at the Professional Development Center. Speakers will be Jeff Johnson from North American Life Plans and Robby Mills.

A box lunch will be catered by Sidewalk Café with chicken salad or ham & cheese on croissant, chips, broccoli salad, cookie, tea/lemonade. Please bring donations of school supplies.

We will be accepting nominations for the now vacant office of President Elect. This person will become our next president in June, 2019.
